In this context, the main purpose of the council is to deepen the academic and educational collaborations between the two countries, to create mechanisms that will make these collaborations sustainable, and to support projects that will contribute to the academic development of both sides. Since its establishment, the Turkish American Academic Council has significantly contributed to the development of mutual understanding and cooperation by building cultural and academic bridges. Academic Cooperation Bridge between the United States and Turkey

This event is the first major event organized by our Council and is therefore of great importance to us. The promotion of Turkey's academic and educational potential on an international platform will be in line with our principled paradigms and will be a source of national pride. The event is a critical step in deepening the academic dialogue between Turkey and the United States, promoting joint research and educational projects, and establishing lasting collaborations between the academic communities of both countries. The event will also provide a unique opportunity to showcase the educational and academic achievements of the Turkish-American community on the global stage and will lay a solid foundation for future collaborations.

Academic Collaboration and reverse brain drain

We would be deeply honored if you would be kind enough to attend our meeting with the theme 'Academic Collaborations and Reverse Brain Drain'. During the meeting, we aim to focus on the following critical topics:

The strategic role of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) in the employment of qualified 'Human Resources'

Establishing systematic and sustainable academic collaborations

Promoting reverse brain drain and strengthening the entrepreneurship ecosystem

This meeting will emphasize the need for academic and scientific achievements of the Higher Education Council (YÖK) in order to make Turkey's potential in science and research an international center of attraction, and will address the importance of industry and industrial engagement in this process. The incentives offered by the government for R&D activities are critical in strengthening industry and academia cooperation.

Under the leadership of our esteemed Higher Education Council President, the progress made towards internationalization and the global dissemination and sharing of knowledge underscores the successful academic cooperation that Turkey can achieve with leading universities worldwide in the fields of science, research and technology. Some of our universities in Turkey maintain bilateral cooperation programs that provide mobility of students, academics and staff. However, if Turkey is considered as an international center of attraction, the existing academic collaborations are not at the desired level. Within the framework of the entrepreneurial university model, we aim to increase academic collaborations, expand the areas of cooperation and become an effective position in the field of bilateral cooperation, especially in the United States. This will contribute to the promotion of academic and scientific innovation both nationally and internationally, support reverse brain drain, and enable our country to become a global actor in the field of science and technology.
