INFORMATION ON THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
This Information and Clarification Form has been prepared within the scope of the processing and transfer of "Personal Data" of natural persons regulated by the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVK Law"). Within the scope of Law No. 6698, any current information you have shared with our company will be considered as "Personal Data".
The security of your personal data is of great importance to us, and your personal data will be stored in accordance with the conditions stipulated by the legislation, in the safest way possible and for the period required by legal obligations, in accordance with the legislation. Your personal data collected; It is processed in accordance with the principles of being in compliance with the law and honesty rules, accurate and up-to-date when necessary, processed for specific, clear and legitimate purposes, connected, limited and measured for the purpose for which they are processed, and retained for the period stipulated in the relevant legislation or required for the purpose for which they are processed.

Pursuant to Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVK Law"), your personal data may be processed by the Turkish American Academic Council as the "Data Controller" within the scope of the following.

Your personal data collected may be used for the fulfillment of the obligations of our company and real and legal persons who have a business relationship with our company, to inform you about updates, to establish and execute contracts with you, to remind and fulfill legal obligations, to carry out various advertising and marketing activities, to obtain your opinion through surveys and voting, to determine the appropriate products, projects and services for you, to customize and develop them for you, to provide an effective customer service, in the legislation, It is processed in a limited manner for the purposes of notifying you of changes in internal policies or making other notifications concerning you, birthday celebration, inclusion in sweepstakes or competitions, gift giving and other similar events, promotions and campaigns in your favor, informing you by e-mail, SMS and fax, informing you about campaigns, sending you printed bulletins, magazines, articles about campaigns, determining our visitor profiles, evaluating requests, demands and complaints and carrying out our company's human resources policies, answering requests and questions from you.
c) To whom and for what purpose the processed personal data can be transferred
The processed personal data may be transferred to our indirect/direct domestic/overseas affiliates or subsidiaries, domestic/overseas/international, public/private institutions and organizations, companies and other 3rd parties or organizations, our company's affiliates, consultants, shareholders or solution partners, other group companies, Central Registry Agency and other authorized institutions and organizations, suppliers or subcontractors, provided that the conditions stipulated in Articles 8 and 9 of the KVK Law are complied with and necessary security measures are taken, limited to the purposes listed under Article (b) of this notification. persons or organizations, our company's affiliates, consultants, shareholders or solution partners, other group companies, Central Registry Agency and other authorized institutions and organizations, suppliers or subcontractors. ç) Method and Legal Reason for Collecting Your Personal Data
Your personal data may be obtained by our Company through different channels (offices and other physical environments where you can contact the headquarters, branches, agencies, sales offices or other subcontractors or business partners of the Turkish American Academic Council, call centers, websites, mobile applications and similar electronic transaction platforms, through social media or other public channels, through your participation in training, conferences and similar environments organized, or through other group companies or other persons and organizations with which they have contracted, in written, verbal, audio or video recording or other physical or electronic media, etc.). Your personal data may be obtained for the purposes specified in articles (b) and (c) of this text and for the purposes specified in paragraph (c) of paragraph 2 of Article 5 of the Personal Data Protection Law, provided that it is directly related to the performance of a contract specified in paragraph (c) of paragraph 2 of Article 5 of the Personal Data Protection Law and the legal obligation of the data controller in paragraph (ç) of the same paragraph, Provided that data processing is mandatory for the establishment, exercise and protection of a right under subparagraph (e) and provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the person concerned under subparagraph (f), it is collected and processed based on the legitimate interest of the Turkish American Academic Council or your explicit consent.
Your Personal Data is stored in accordance with the legislation for the period required by legal obligations or for the period permitted by the relevant legislation.
d) Your Rights as a Data Subject
As the relevant person whose personal data is processed, if you submit your requests regarding your rights to our Company by the methods set out below, our Company will finalize your request free of charge as soon as possible and within thirty days at the latest, depending on its nature. However, if a fee is stipulated by the Personal Data Protection Board, the fee in the tariff determined by our Company will be charged. In this context, the relevant persons;

To learn the purpose of processing personal data and whether they are used for their intended purpose,

To object to the emergence of a result to the detriment of the person himself/herself by analyzing the processed data exclusively through automated systems,
In case of damage due to unlawful processing of personal data, it has the right to demand compensation for the damage.
Pursuant to paragraph 1 of Article 13 of the KVK Law, you may submit your request to exercise your rights mentioned above to our Company in writing.
